Silly Dreams make for a happy morning

Lots has been happening here. It's the end of a year. Which means I should be at post 365. But I got behind. So I'm not. I feel like I should catch up post. I might.

But for right now, I'll just share what woke me up in a great mood.

285. Silly Dreams. Have you ever woken up from a dream in the same mood you were in while dreaming? I've done this before lots of times. Sometimes I'll dream I'm arguing with my husband - or that he did something that made me angry. I'll wake up totally grouchy and upset with him. Because of my dream. He'll look at me sideways over breakfast and ask what's wrong. "I'm mad at you." "Why?" "You were a real jerk in my dream." "????" He'll kiss me as he leaves, saying, "I can't be held responsible for something I did in YOUR dream."

I know. But it takes awhile for the feeling to wear off. Jerk. He didn't DO ANYTHING. It was just a dream. It was just a dream.

This morning I had the opposite experience. I woke up from watching what was basically a 70's slapstick comedy. I'm sure it was much better in my head than it will be outloud. But I hit the snooze at least twice to find out the end, and woke up laughing.

Basic plot, - Two groups chasing bad guys in a garbage truck. One group is after them because they have valuables in the truck that were accidentally thrown away. (The complete works of Shakespeare once owned by Sonny and Cher is the major artifact we're after.) The other group thinks the bad guys are terrorists out to blow up a major landmark. Kate Jackson is in hot pursuit and shooting back at herself with a radar gun to find out how fast she's going.

It was sort of like mixing episodes of Dukes of Hazzard and Get Smart with Charlie's Angels. Lots of fast cars and cheesy lines. It was so dumb it made me laugh. (Shakespeare - Sonny and Cher - come on!)

When I woke up I told my teenager what I'd been dreaming. She said, "Sonny and Cher?" So we had to look them up on you tube. And now, "I Got You, Babe" is going through my head.

Enjoy! (The outfits alone make me laugh.)

What about you? Had any fun dreams lately?

Movie Lines

284. New Favorite Movie Line. I finally saw Eclipse. I waited so long we got great seats. There were five of us in the theater. I have a new favorite movie line.
Jacob to Edward, when Bella is freezing.

"I am hotter than you."

Yes you are, Jacob, yes you are.

And it's a good thing I didn't take my husband. You would have heard him laughing at that one in the next theater.
